Classes
VPANC is offering self-improvement classes to its members free of charge or at significant discounted fees. The first two classes are Integral Taichi and photography; which are free of charge to membbers only.
Integral taichi A self-healing system that integrates taichi, yoga, relaxation and meditation to heal the mind, body and spirit. This comprehensive approach involves a series of 10 body movement postures; each designed to increase balance, awareness, endurance, flexibility, flow, concentration, energy and spiritual transformation. Integral taichi can be simply and easily learned and practiced for all ages and body types. This class will have 2 hour once-a-week sessions for four months. Each class with a minimum of 10 students will be trained by Minh-Tam Nguyen, MD and other certified instructors. It will be held every Wednesday evening.
Photography Photography takes you away from the world of medicine. Have you ever wished to learn about the basics of how to take a good photograph? What is a good photograph, anyway? Whether you have a point-and-shoot, or SLR digital camera, this course will introduce you to the technical and artistic aspects of beginning photography. The instructor, a photography hobbyist for the past five years, Douglas Phan Minh Duc,MD , will serve as a guide for members to learn and progress together, compare photography compositions, share experiences. Meeting twice a month, for three months, this course is designed to be informal, flexible, and geared for all skill levels. Upcoming class will begin on Sunday April 18, 2010
To enroll in either class, please email to [email protected]
